A letter on October 1, 1872, from A. T. Biel, asks Governor Harvey to make Edward Campbell, Justice of the Peace of Wallace County. A letter on October 19, 1872, from A. T. Biel, informs the Governor, the Justice of Peace of Wallace County left with a surveying party and will be gone until the first of January, and recommends J. R. MissKelly to fill in. A petition from residents of the township of Wabaunsee County request E. H. Sanford be appointed the position as Justice of the Peace. A petition on May 22, 1869, asks that Joseph Speck of Wallace County be appointed Justice of Peace.
