A letter from Stillman Mann informs Governor Harvey, he received his appointment as Justice of the Peace of Russell County. In the letter, Mann states he has heard there have been questions of his loyalty and asks if there is another appointment. A letter of resignation from J. W. Russell as one of the Justices of the Peace of Saline County. A petition from citizens of Saline County request William E. Grier to fill the vacancy of Justice of the Peace. A letter from A. Thompsons tenders his resignation as Justice of the Peace of Elm Creek township, Saline County.
