Russell as one of the Justices of the Peace of Saline County. A petition from citizens of Saline County request William E. Grier to fill the vacancy of Justice of the Peace. A letter from A. Thompsons tenders his resignation as Justice of the Peace of Elm Creek township, Saline County.
