A letter from L. N. Holenburg states he has failed to qualify for the commission as Justice of Peace within the time frame required by law. In the letter, Holenburg requests the Governor to renew his appointment as he has a considerable amount of work to do once he is qualified. A letter from W. B., Executive Department of Kansas, to Colonel to commission L. N. Holenburg and remarks that Holenburg did not qualify under a commission issued December 24, 1868. A petition from citizens of Blue Rapid City, Marshall County request Theodore F. Hall be appointed Justice of Peace. The following documents pertain to appointments of Justice of Peace of townships in Marshall or McPherson County.
