A letter on February 28, 1872, discusses a petition supporting John H. Prescott as Judge of the 14th Judicial District. A letter from D. R. Wagstaff informs Governor Harvey he has heard a petition is circulating recommending F. A. Wildman, however, many of the Republicans desire J. H. Prescott for the position. The following correspondence and petitions are regarding opinions of Prescott or Wildman as the new Judge of the 14th Judicial District.
