A petition from members of the Bar and County Officials of the 13th Judicial District asks that Colonel J. M. Alexander receive the appointment of judgeship of this district. A separate petition from the attorneys of Eldorado, Kansas requests and recommends W. P. Campbell for the appointment of Judge of the 13th Judicial District. A letter from J. G. Fraker encloses a letter to W. P. Campbell that he wrote to Governor Harvey on his behalf. In the letter, Fraker informs Campbell he can use the letter if he thinks it will be useful to him. Additional letters and petitions are from supporters asking Governor Harvey to appoint W. P. Hackney of Sumner County as Judgeship of the 13th Judicial District. The following correspondence in this file concerns the appointment of Judge of the 13th Judicial District.
