The letters in this file pertain to a proposed bill to create a new Judicial District in Kansas and the appointment of a Judge for the district. A letter from W. A. Smith, member of the Kansas Legislature, asks Governor Harvey to wait to appoint a Judge for this district until he has had an opportunity to speak with him. Other letters are from various individuals making a recommendation of specific candidates should the bill be approved and the 12th Judicial District created.
