A letter from D. P. Lowe of Fort Scott, Kansas, notifies Kansas Governor Harvey of his resignation made the day before he also adds that he has heard W. C. Webb will be applying for the vacancy and suggests Webb will make a good fit. A letter enclosing petitions from members of the bar asking that W. C. Webb be appointed as the Judge of the 6th Judicial District. A letter from J. F. Broadhead writes to Governor Harvey concerning his application as Judge of the 6th Judicial District. Broadhead includes a petition for his appointment.
