This letter, dated September 10, 1868, is from A. A. Carnahan regarding Cloud County Kansas affairs to Kansas Governor Samuel Crawford. Carnahan wrote requesting the governor to appoint John S. Fowler as probate judge to fill a vacancy. Cloud County was organized in 1866.
