This set of photographs represent the Johnson family dressed in traditional Swedish attire for the Svensk Hyllingsfest in Lindsborg, Kansas. Members of the family portrayed in the pictures is Larry, Lonnie and Frances. The Svensk Hyllningsfest is a biennial celebration honoring the Swedish heritage and culture of the community. Events included at the festival is dancing, cooking demonstrations, arts, crafts, and entertainment by town residents. Traditional fare served at the fesitval includes lutfisk and the popular Swedish Smörgåsbord.
