This file includes a letter from Newton, Kansas and reply by the Governor's office. The correspondent is expressing his concern about having a bill passed that his work as a person who looks after paroled prisoners will become a paid position that he has been doing voluntarily. In response, Governor Capper tells the correspondent that he does not anticipate the bill to be passed. This is part of a bigger collection of Governor Arthur Capper correspondence.
