Foot and mouth disease affects cloven-hoofed animals, such as cattle, usually leading to death. Topics included, but not limited to, in the correspondence is quarantine to protect unaffected domestic animals, increased expenses to the Sanitary Department to prevent the spread and organizing inspections of diseased areas.
