Shown are three decorated body sherds and one decorated rim that were collected from a Kansas City Hopewell site in Doniphan County. The largest sherd, the rim sherd, has pyrite or mica temper with a row of slightly triangular punctates. The buff colored body sherd has a row of finger nail impressions. The smallest sherd is decorated with triangular punctates and incised cross hatches. The final sherd, is cord marked with a line of linear punctates above triangular punctates. During this time archeologists find evidence of houses, cultivated plants, the bow and arrow, and decorated pottery.
