These pottery sherds were collected from the Fanning site and donated in 1987 to the Kansas Historical Society. Two of the rim sherds show zoned decorations of opposed diagonals, one of which also has punctates. One rim sherd has tool trailed parallel lines. The final two rim sherds have red burnished sides, one on the interior and the other on the exterior. The Doniphan site was a Kansa village site in Doniphan County.
