These two knives were recovered during excavations at the 1983 Kansas Archeology Training Program field school at the Crandall site. The knives may have been hafted onto handles and used as cutting tools. The Crandall site is a Late Ceramic period archeological site in Rice County occupied by Great Bend aspect (ancestral Wichita) peoples.
