This jug was excavated in 1991 by Kansas Historical Society archeologists during investigations at the Johnson/Palmore Restaurant site in Manhattan, Kansas. The site was at various times home to a restaurant, stores, office, the State Highway Commission office, a bottling plant, and an automobile alignment shop. This jug was recovered from a trash feature associated with the property's use as a restaurant.
