This is a photograph of John W. Greyeyes, a Wyandot Indian, who was born at Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He came to the Wyandotte County, Kansas area in 1843. He was a lawyer and a leader among the Wyandot Indians. Greyeyes died on the Wyandot Reservation near Seneca, Missouri and is buried at Wyandotte, Oklahoma.
