These legal documents relate to the case of the United States versus John Day. Day was accused of shooting and maiming John A. Lowry with a pistol on November 29, 1854 in the Kansas Territory. Day was indicted by the Second District Court of the Kansas Territory, based Tecumseh, Shawnee County, during June of 1855. Day was released on bond September 20, 1858.
