These legal documents relate to the case of the United States versus Ed L. Doty, alias Lee Doty. Doty was accused of using counterfeit coins to defraud Osage County Sheriff Benedick and John William on September 15, 1859 in Osage County, Kansas Territory. An arrest warrant was issued for Doty by the Leavenworth County Court.
