These legal documents relate to the case of the United States vs. John B. Davis for contempt. The documents state Davis failed to attend the Second District Court in Lecompton, Kansas Territory on October 4, 1858 to serve as a juror. On May 9, 1859, a judgement of ten dollars plus court fees was issued.
