This bench warrant and judicial writ were issued for James B. Davis by the Second District Court in Lecompton, Kansas Territory. Davis failed to attend court to serve as a juror for the court term starting on May 4, 1857. The warrant was returned unserved by U. S. Marshal Elias S. Dennis.
