These two writs of execution for Benjamin F. Dare were issued by the Second District Court of the Kansas Territory in Lecompton. Dare was issued a fine on October 13, 1858 that covered the court fees related to his charge of contempt. A writ of execution orders a law enforcement official to take possession of property or assets to pay a debt.
