This arrest warrant for John Cleary was issued on December 9, 1856 by the First Judicial District Court. Cleary was accused of murdering Jacob Baker on September 16, 1856 in the Kansas Territory. Cleary was indicted for the murder during the October session of the First District Court. Several significant Bleeding Kansas skirmishes took place in May through September of 1856, such as the Sacking of Lawrence and the Battle of Fort Titus.
