These three writs of arrest were issued for William Carey in 1857 related to the charges of selling liquor without a license and selling liquor on a Sunday. The writs were issued by the Third Judicial District Court and order Carey's appearance at the court's office in Fort Scott, Kansas Territory. All three writs were returned by the marshal unserved.
