These legal documents relate to the case of the Kansas Territory vs. Thomas Burke for selling liquor on a Sunday in Leavenworth County, Kansas Territory on September 6, 1857. Burke was indicted during the September term of 1857 by the U. S. District Court of the Kansas Territory, First District. Burke was arrested and released on bond September 26, 1858.
