These three writs of scire facias relate to the case of the United States vs. C. Buntschien for contempt. Buntschien was accused of failing to attend the U. S. District Court of the Kansas Territory, Second District, in Lecompton on October 8, 1857 to serve as a juror. These three judicial writs order the defendant to appear in court and explain why a final judgement should not be issued.

Date: March 14, 1859 - March 13, 1860
