This judicial case file includes an affidavit and warrant related to the charge against William M. Moore and George H. Baker of robbery on September 18, 1856 in Nemaha County, Kansas Territory. William W. Moore stated in his affidavit, sworn on November 8, 1856 before Chief Justice Samuel D. Lecompte of the First District Court of the Kansas Territory, that George H. Baker and Walter T. Beals had robbed his house and land of property worth six thousand dollars. A warrant was issued November 8, 1856 for the arrest of Baker and Beals.
