This case file includes witness subpoenas and bench warrants documenting the charge against Richard Alous for selling liquor to William Large without a license on April 23, 1858 in Leavenworth, Kansas Territory. Alous was indicted for serving one glass of whiskey worth 5 cents to William Large by the 1st District Court of the Territory of Kansas in April of 1858. A series of bench warrants for Alous were issued in May and September of 1858 and June of 1859, all of which were returned unexecuted.
