Both of these pendant fragments were recovered from the Fool Chief village site, a Kansa village in Shawnee County. Both were excavated during the 2012-2013 archeology work from the central village midden (refuse heap) area. Both examples are made of some type of white metal, meaning they contain no iron or gold. The smaller pendant fragment has two parallel hand punched curving dashed lines. The larger fragment may have been manufactured for trade and may depict a floral pattern.
