This beaded leather bag was donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1920. The bag measures 3 1/2" by 6" and the beads are sewn on with sinew, a tough tendon or ligament tissue. The red, dark blue, medium blue, green and white beads form a geometric pattern on the front, sides and flap. There are 26 tinklers attached to leathered thongs along the lower edge. Two more tinklers are attached on each side of the upper edge. The back of the bag is leather that has been dyed red.
