Shown are four stemmed dart points recovered from an archeological site in Coffey County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 2015. The two dart points on the far left have been heat treated to improve the knapping qualities of the chert. The dart point on the far right was found broken and repaired by the donor. The site had multiple occupations during the Early and Middle Ceramic periods. Dart points were used to hunt game during the earlier occupations.
