This photograph shows a May Day celebration on the southwest corner of the courthouse lawn in Fredonia, Wilson County, Kansas. A group of young girls is doing a Maypole dance for the crowd. Downtown buildings visible in the background include: Gaede Bakery, Singleton Supply Company, Hubbell Brothers, and the Grand Leader building.
