Louis Palenske photographed this Native American Chief outside a large canvas teepee erected for visitors to the "All Indian Trails Lead to Lawrence" dedication of the new football stadium at Haskell Institute. Thousands of Native Americans from across the country attended the four-day event which spanned October 27-30th, 1926. Funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
