This Shoshone or Plains Indian bow was donated in 1975 to the Kansas Historical Society. The sinew wrapped bow is made of piece of wood and decorated with a gopher snake (also called a bull snake) skin. The interior portion of the bow is stained dark red. The bow measures 49 1/2" long.
