The Santa Fe Trail - Cimarron National Grassland Segment 2 is located near Richfield, Morton County, Kansas. Travel over this portion of the trail began in 1822 and ended in 1868 with the arrival of the railroad at the short-lived town of Sheridan, Kansas. This particular 24-acre segment includes a single trail swale. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
