Mr Hill
I recived your letter this morn. I thought it best as the boat is going down to resume my pen & pen you a few lines. I rote you a Letter a weak or go or so that I had not heard from that Package of money that you & farther sent me. Mr. Hill this morning I recived a Letter & a recipt saying that the agent at Counsil Bluffs had sutch a package & wish me to come & get it or send him directions where to send it. so I shall get it soon the Express Line up this river advertises to send packages up as high, as that & I can send write up on the [xxx] boat & get it so it is not Lost & I Probbily shall recive it in a few days.
Hill Sir the great difficulty was that

the package was not properly marked [xxx] you address the package to me in the care of Simpson & [Leadbeater?] Saint Louis I should recived it before. I have been quithe ansious to know where it was for two weaks but feel more at ease now.
Mr. Hill the House is done all ready to plaster & I cannot do any thing [trdes?] plastering till I get some money to do with. I have made the first payment on the house & they have been very good in waiting thus far Mr Ireland say that I need not worry about him for he will try to get along some how. I have not recived any money from that source since I recived your Draft & that I was oblige to send back to get your name put on the back of it so as to make it negosible. you will see by the other letter that I raised the money & wish you to [xxx] the said

draft to James Dudit which I supse have done. Mr. Hill it becomes necessary for me to write that I must do the best I can under these ciratencies & I shall do so & if farther has not sent the rest he wrote me he would enough to make out one thousand I wish you to say to him to do so for now is the time for me to use it. had I had the money I would have had the store done before this but I intend to do the rest myself although it will take me longer, I have sent by Mr Mcpherson to get my brth to Saint Louis or Evensville, Inn, probibly he can get them cheaper than here.
In regard to renting the house I have not but I have had quite a number of chances had it been ready I mite before this. should of rented it to McCann & Buch but Mr Tuttle had and the consern & Mr Bliss is building a Store on Bean Avniew between the Quindaro House & the companys office

Hill the prospect is good not to have it fix matter that the Rail Road will come here they had a meeting here last knight to choose dellighes to go to Parkvill tomorrow to reppersent the intrest of City & chose directors of the sort. Saturday they have a meeting at Plattsburgh to see what an intrest Clinton County will take. I rote you some weaks ago about the proceedings of the Last & Saturday we shall know wether those subscription of two hundred thousand will be to have the [xxx] [xxx] here at this point or where else. When that meeting comes off I will give you the [xxx] for that. one thing more about the Share Mr Thadwick has it is [xxx] today & I have not had a chance to see [xxx] Mr Gurthrire I will see him tomorrow & write all about it & about the divisions of those land which have been annext to the town & you must excuse [mistakes?] for I have not time to look it over A.
