This is a photograph showing the southeast corner of 6th and Kansas Avenue in Topeka, Kansas. It was copied from Radge's Topeka Directory, 1876-1877. It includes buildings with signs identifying them as the American Express Co., Commonwealth Office, Kansas State Record, C. R. Jones Co., Wholesale Liquors, House Sign Painting, Topeka Marble Works, Bakery and on the opposite corner, Rowley Brothers Drug Store and a sign advertising Carbon Coal & Mining.
