Captain James C. Hughes photographed an American soldier visiting with two women at Kurhaus, spa in Wiesbaden, Germany. The caption identifies either one woman as Anna Marie or one Anna and the other Marie. The photograph was taken on June 8, 1919, when Hughes was serving with the British Army of the Rhine after World War I in occupied Germany.
