Photograph represents gun emplacements camouflaged with grass at Battery Negre during World War I, which may have been at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The photograph was taken by Colonel James Hughes who was stationed as a student at Fort Sill from January 18 to May 18, 1918 and then as an instructor.
