This is a panoramic photograph showing a threshing crew on John Melton's farm in Osborne County, Kansas. The Melton farm was located south of Bloomington, Kansas and had 360 acres. The house was located 6 miles south and 1 1/2 miles west of Bloomington on Osborne RFD #2. People in the photograph are left to right: Abe Dirstine (with team of mules), Sim Caruthers, Dick Caruthers, Albert Green (on rack behind Dick), person to the rear of Albert is unknown, first two with pitch forks unknown, third is Albert Yost, John Price (nephew of John Melton), left to right on racks lined up back of belt are Ernest Leighton, next face unknown, the third is Vayne Calloway, fourth man is unknown, Dennie Young (engineer), Vern Melton (John's son), John Melton and Allen.
