This is a photograph showing the interior of the Burns State Bank in Burns, Kansas. It was established on October 17, 1900. Samuel Cobb was one of the first presidents of Burns State Bank. He married Josephine Josephs on October 27, 1897 and they had three children Ray (b. August 27, 1900 - d. September 2, 1900), Mateel (b. July 6, 1911, d. March 29, 1912), and Theo (b. September 2, 1898, d. July 25, 1996). The latter married Alfred Mossman Landon.
