This photograph shows inmates Jim Martin, prisoner #9586 and Edward Tabananka, prisoner #9502. Jim Martin was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on December 4, 1900 from Pawnee County, Oklahoma. Inmate Edward Tabananka, also known by the surname spelling Tabbyananace, was received at the penitentiary on October 27, 1900 from Kay County, Oklahoma. Both men were arrested for larceny.
