This photograph shows inmates Charles Walker, prisoner #8142 and James Williams, prisoner #9492. Charles Walker was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on May 18, 1897 from Labette County, Kansas for rape. He also used the surname Slyden. Inmate James Williams was received at the penitentiary on October 15, 1900 from Wyandotte County, Kansas for larceny.
