This photograph shows inmates John Doe, prisoner #9603 and Harry Smith, prisoner #9404. John Doe, also known under the alias Ed Smith, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on December 12, 1900. Harry Smith, also known as Al Jennings and S.F. Inghram/Ingram, was received at the penitentiary on June 8, 1900 from Cowley County, Kansas. Both men are from Cowley County, Kansas and arrested for larceny and burlgary.
