This photograph shows inmates Richard Roe, prisoner 7868, and Thomas O'Brien, prisoner 8419. Richard Roe, alias for John Morris, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on October 1, 1896 from Nemaha County, Kansas for grand larceny. Thomas O'Brien was received at the penitentiary on January 23, 1898 from Ford County, Kansas for burglary and larceny.
