This photograph shows inmates Wm. Ward, 8894, and Wm. G. Tate, 9474. Wm. Ward was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on April 12, 1899 from Rice County, Kansas for grand larceny. Wm. G. Tate was received for the first time at the penitentiary on September 16, 1900 from Greenwood County, Kansas for burglary and grand larceny. He was received for a second term on December 22, 1916.
