This photograph shows inmates Frank Smith, prisoner #9139 and William Logan, prisoner #9306. Frank Smith, also known by the surname Schmidt, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on November 30, 1899 from Garfield County, Oklahoma. Inmate William "Will" Logan was received at the penitentiary on April 2, 1900 from Atchison County, Kansas. Both men were arrested for larceny.
