This photograph shows inmates Henry Kirschner, prisoner #8973 and Conrad Maass, prisoner #9108. Henry Krischner, also known by the surname Kerschner, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on June 8, 1899 from Ford County, Kansas for larceny from a person. Inmate Conrad Maass, also known by the surname Maap, was received at the penitentiary on November 9, 1899 from Blaine County, Oklahoma for murder.
