George Smith was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on March 16, 1895 from Atchison County, Kansas for burglary, larceny and assault. Billy Sarber was received at the penitentiary on January 2, 1897 from Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma for escaping prison.
