This photograph shows inmates Henry Torrey, prisoner #9318 and Harry Kurfas, prisoner #7693. Henry Torrey was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on April 9, 1900 from Ottawa County, Kansas for grand larceny. Inmate Harry Kurfas, also known by the surnames Kurfuss and Kurfess, was received at the penitentiary on February 22, 1896 from Ellis County, Kansas for robbery. See also Unit ID 311598.
