This photograph shows inmates John Brown, prisoner #9125 and F. W. Fowler, prisoner #8257. John Brown was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on November 25, 1899 from Kingfisher County, Oklahoma for assault with intent to kill. F.W. Fowler, also known by the surname spelling Fawler, was received at the penitentiary on October 2, 1897 from Sedgwick County, Kansas for burglary and larceny.
